Big Idea: Good looks don't always make you attractive!
Ruth 2:5-13

Questions:
  1. How have you discovered the truth that looks can make you look, but they don't make you attractive? In your opinion, what is the difference between "good looks" and being "attractive"?
  2. What made Ruth attractive to Boaz? Why did he notice her? How did this true attractiveness form the basis of their relationship?
  3. How can you make friendship choices (or dating choices - if that's where you're at) based on true attractiveness and not looks alone? What choices in these areas of your life do you need to make this week?
  4. How can you start to become more attractive? What are some specific ways you can do this starting this week?

SUMMARY:
Ruth risked her entire life and love to serve someone else. Good looks don't always make you attractive. But a mission greater than yourself makes you incredibly attractive, as Ruth and Boaz discovered.
As followers of Christ, we claim to have the greatest love of all. This great love changes our lives, and it affects the way we live and the way we treat others, especially in relationships. It's tempting for us to believe our culture's message about where real beauty and real attractiveness comes from.
You are looking for people who are real, who are attractive because they love and are loved by God and others, and who live in and live out great love.
